Chris Christie Says Middle East Unrest ’caused In Some Measure’ By Obama’s Failed Leadership |

“I think the unrest you see in the Middle East is caused in some measure, not completely, but in some measure, by the fact that this president has not acted in a decisive and consistent way,” Christie said. “He draws red lines then doesnt enforce them; he doesnt stand up for our friends in a vocal and forceful way,” he said. “Those are things that he should be focused on, trying to bring stability to that region by having America be a forceful voice in favor of a Democracy like Israel and be condemning, in the strongest terms and in actions, the things that are being done by Hamas against Israel.” Despite leveling harsh criticism over the way Obama has handled the unrest, Christie stopped short of calling for military action in the region. “Im not going to give opinions on that; Im not the president,” he said. “But what I can tell you is that a lot of what is happening there now is caused by a sense of America backing off of its commitments in that region.” The recent outbreak of violence in the region follows the kidnappings and killings of three Israeli teenagers in the West Bank and the kidnapping and killing of a Palestinian teenager in an apparent revenge attack.

If you make a schedule for your day, be sure to include interruptions. If you forget to pay attention to things such as traffic or telephone conversation running a bit longer, this can seriously disrupt your entire day. Plan for the interruptions to stay on task.
If it is difficult for you to manage your time, concentrate more on each task. Lots of folks fail when they think they can multi-task. Looking at them at other times of the day will steal time away from a time slot delegated to another task.

When you are working on a task, do not answer the phone until you complete it. It’s hard to return to the task you were performing when you got interrupted. Follow up on any missed texts, instant messages, or phone calls once you have finished the task you were working on.

Take a close look at the things on your schedule. Are there activities that you can cut from your daily activities? Could you get someone else to perform some of these tasks so that you will have more time? It is important to learn how to delegate. Remember to fully entrust work to the people you delegate it to; after you put a job in someone else’s hands, take your mind off it and don’t worry about it.

In order to make any headway with the work you have to do, maintaining focus is essential. Keep distractions from taking over your time during important tasks. People may ask you to do other tasks while you’re working. Don’t let anyone do that to you. Make sure that you complete one task before moving on to the next one.

Boost Your Leadership Skills With These Great Tips

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where others expected you to be a leader but you were unable to display efficient leadership skills? You should pay attention if you truly don’t want to be passed over again. The following article will guide you in finding what might be missing when it pertains to leadership.
Your employees do not have the ability to read your mind. Communicate your expectations precisely when it comes to methods, time frame and strategy. Remember that communication goes both ways. Therefore, if folks need clarification about what you want done, they will be comfortable asking for it.

When you are working with customers or colleagues, you must conduct yourself ethically. Every sound business must be ethical. When your team knows you are to be trusted, they will do a better job for you. By getting together a set of responsibilities that show how moral your business is, your rules will start to be followed by people.

Tenacity is a key characteristic of a good leader. If things should go wrong, then it is you that the team will look to for guidance out of the problem. You should focus on being successful even when things go wrong. When you model persistence and a positive attitude, your team is inspired to pick themselves up and work toward their goals again.

Don’t be a know it all in regards to leadership. Seek advice from your coworkers and listen to their ideas with an open mind. Your team can improve on your idea or find problems you may have overlooked.

Do not address your group unless you are prepared. Consider the questions that they may bring up. Take the time to formulate good answers for these questions. If you have the right answers, your team will admire you. It is also a great time-saving method.

You must own mistakes you make. Everyone makes mistakes. But, what make someone good at leading is allowing themselves to learn from mistakes and then tell everyone what went wrong. It shows that you’re a flawed human just like everybody else. It might seem counter-intuitive, but a dose of humanity can produce loyalty from others.

Hire a variety of folks for your company. A wide range of perspectives can be given when there is diversity of culture, age and education. Do not hire people that are exactly like you. This limits your team’s ability to advance. This can also make for a failing company due to your own weaknesses.

Don’t let winning become an obsession. Spreadsheets, goals and statistics are the norm in today’s society. This is a great way to know your goals, and to see how the progress is going. If you step back for a second and start focusing on making a culture of people being successful at work, winning will happen on its own.

Now is the time to focus on making sure you are working towards being a good leader. It is critical to venture in this direction in life. Due to the excellent knowledge provided in this article, you can begin improving your leadership skills. Work at becoming a leader and you will go far.

Wh Report Blames “corrosive Culture,” Bad Leadership At Va For Deadly Corruption « Hot Air

Where havethose resources gone? Did the White House even think to ask before this scandal blew up? Thats almost a quarter of a trillion dollars in six years over and above what the VA had already been receiving, and the White House now claims that the problems are that the VA cant articulate its own budget needs effectively enough. The problem is the VA itself. Its the inevitable outcome of single-payer systems, whose incentives all run to the protection of the bureaucracy because the customers have nowhere else to go. That is the essence of the corrosive culture at the VA, and only a paradigm change in its mission will solve it. The real long-term solution to the VA is to end its single-payer status, and provide veterans the resources to access a range of providers for their care while focusing the VA provider system on its core competence of service-related injuries and illnesses. The leadership issues are obvious, but theyre not limited to the VA.
